Dr. Jack Resneck has practiced dermatology in Shreveport since 1975. He grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi and attended Tulane University as an undergraduate. After graduating from the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1968, he did a surgical internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Military service brought him to Barksdale Air Force Base and Shreveport, his wife Lecie’s hometown.
After his military service, Dr. Resneck trained in Dermatology at the University of California in San Francisco from 1972 to 1975 where he was appointed chief resident in his third year. He returned to Shreveport after completing his training to open his practice. Soon the practice grew with the association of Drs. David Clemons and Donald Posner. When Drs. Anne Bryan, Jason Romero and Laura Haynie joined the practice, Dermatology and Skin Surgery outgrew its former office and moved to a larger space at its current location on Ellerbe Road.
While in medical school, Dr. Resneck was elected to AOA, the medical honor society. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and serves on the ethics committee of the American Academy of Dermatology.
